Why you Should Avoid Unlimited Prints

If you have been looking for a new copier contract then someone may have mentioned the option of getting unlimited prints. While this may sound like a good option, it is generally a rip off for just about any business. We believe in avoiding unlimited print plans if you want to get the most value from your copier lease.

Copier leasing companies love getting people to buy more prints than they need. Prints never rollover to another month and whatever you don’t use is just money in your leasing company’s pocket. They want you to buy as many as possible just to increase their revenue.

Avoiding unlimited print plans is one of the easiest ways to save money. Even if you are a business that aggressively uses your printer it will probably still not be a good option. It’s also pretty unrealistic to think a business wouldn’t charge you for using more of a product if you start to abuse it.

At Fresno Copier we believe in the 80% rule. This says that you should opt to buy about 80% of what you use on your busiest months. This leaves you with room to work with on slower months so you don’t waste money. You can also always add more prints if you need to. It will come at a slightly higher price, but paying for what you need is always better than throwing money away.
